Energy Recovery Products (ERP) designs and manufactures energy-efficient AC-DC power supplies for LED lighting, industrial, medical, telecom, IT and computing markets. Our technology offers an industry-beating combination of high efficiency, compact size and low cost.
ERP’s headquarters and design center are in Moorpark, California. ERP’s wholly owned factory in Zhuhai, China handles manufacturing, purchasing, engineering support and design verification analysis.
Under a licensing agreement with Flextronics, ERP’s technology has been deployed by the world’s largest notebook and desktop computer manufacturers. Our customers have access to this same technology, which is now on its third generation and continues to evolve. Each generation improves efficiency (reducing power consumption), raises power density (reducing size) and lowers component count (reducing cost).
ON Semiconductor is also a licensee and partner to ERP. ON Semiconductor develops application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) to support ERP’s resonant converter power-supply technology.
Our History
2004 Q1 – Power supply industry veterans Michael Archer and Abdul Sher-Jan form Energy Recovery Systems (ERS), the parent company, to develop technologies for reducing the energy consumption of AC-DC power supplies while at the same time lowering their cost
2005 Q4 – ON Semiconductor licenses ERS’s proprietary technology for use in power supply control integrated circuits
2006 Q2 – Flextronics licenses ERS’s proprietary technology for notebook and desktop computer power supply products
2006 Q4 – Energy Recovery Products (ERP) is created as a separate product and manufacturing company
2007 Q3 – ERP releases its first product line, the UHD (“ultra-high density”) series, which is 2.5 times more powerful than competing products of equivalent size with 35% lower power consumption
2008 Q1 – ERP’s Zhuhai, China facility achieves ISO 9001: 2008 certification
